How to Monitor UI.com for Price Drops and Changes
Ubiquiti doesn't announce price changes. One day a switch costs $699, the next it's $649 — and there's no notification, no sale banner, no email. If you're planning a network build or waiting for a better price, you have to check manually. Unless you automate it.
Why Ubiquiti Prices Change Without Warning
Unlike traditional retailers, Ubiquiti sells exclusively through their own store at ui.com. There are no third-party price trackers like CamelCamelCamel (which only works with Amazon). Ubiquiti adjusts prices based on supply, demand, and production costs — and they do it without fanfare.
Price drops are especially easy to miss because they often happen alongside restocks. By the time word spreads on Reddit or the Ubiquiti forums, the product may have already sold out at the new price.
Set Up Automatic Price Monitoring
UIPing compares the full text content of ui.com pages between checks. When a price changes — in either direction — you get an alert showing exactly what changed.
Getting Started
- Create a free UIPing account
- Add the product page URL (e.g.,
https://store.ui.com/us/en/products/usw-pro-max-48-poe) - UIPing will check the page at your plan's interval and notify you when any content changes
Detecting Price Changes Specifically
On the free plan, UIPing monitors the entire page — you'll get notified of price changes along with any other content change. On paid plans, you can use CSS selectors to target only the price element, reducing noise from unrelated updates.
What a Price Alert Looks Like
When UIPing detects a change, you receive a notification showing a diff of what changed. For a price drop, you'd see something like:
- $699.00 + $649.00
The email notification includes the full before/after comparison. Paid plans with visual diffs also show a side-by-side screenshot comparison highlighting the changed area.
Monitor Multiple Products at Once
Planning a full network build? You probably want to track several products. The free plan covers 1 page. Paid plans scale up:
- Starter ($7/mo) — 5 pages, checks every 10 minutes
- Pro ($25/mo) — 25 pages, checks every 5 minutes
- Enterprise ($100/mo) — 100 pages, checks every second
Monitor your entire shopping list and get notified the moment any price moves.
Price Tracking Tips
- Monitor category pages to track prices across an entire product line at once (e.g., all switching products)
- Set up Discord webhooks to share price alerts with your team or community
- Check historical changes in your UIPing dashboard — the change log shows every detected change with timestamps, so you can spot pricing trends
